KM Governance

We are trying to implement a new KM structure in our organization and I need ideas on how should the KM governance be structured.


I have looked into lot of documents available online but none of them provide the structure what I'm looking for.

I need a format or structure which defines what KM governance to use,how the organization should adhere to the governance put in place, what are the dos and donts and what are the pros and cons of having KM Governance and KM in place.

It's not a standard, but a guide with 4 volumes containing very interesting practices.

KM Governance Ideas

Hi,

I believe that what your trying to do its two separate issues, but of course they are related. However, to sucessfuly resolve it you need to aproach it as two separate things..

First of all, to create and implement a unique structure for your organization and outline how KM governance should be structured you could start by learning your organization mission and vission statements as well as the how to's on how it works. For example, you could first write the ACTUAL format on how the organization its currently working, THEN, you write a new and improved version on how it should work, at this time, adding the new format that you need or want to implement.

For the do's and donts, I would suggest you write a manual of processes. This manual of course should include ALL the offices and its processes separately, including difinitions, step to step flow charts of such processes, etc.
