Challenges of attemtping to manage PKM
by: chris

I stand to be corrected, but I think an environment has to be an enabling one for management of knowledge to excel. What is implied here is that, employees need some kind of motivation such that they open up and share that which they know and think can benefit the organization.

Once motivated and the environment permitting, such knowledge can be documented and shared by all for the betterment of an organization.

Knowledge management in organizations
by: Aongola

I think there's need to nurture knowledge shown by some employees in organizations. For example, during business transaction, an employee would perform exceptionally well on a given task, of course abiding by standards/policies/rules set.Because they have been working in a particular section for some time, they have skills that they apply to perfect their job - and this is what i mean by nurturing knowledge observed on this individual. What is everybody's take on this?

Knowledge management in organizations
by: Chris

I have observed that during business processess, an employee would perform a given task to perfection according to set policies/rules etc. In between processess, we seem not to realize that perfection on the job done is aided by knowledge that such an employee would have acquired over time, something that needs to be nurtured and possibly shared with others. What does everybody think about?

Our Knowledge is limited to the facts, and not the reason behind it
by: Vipul Rawal

Now a days, the scenario is such that though people are very much interested in gaining knowledge but they don't know WHY because of which their knowledge is limited to the facts and not the reason behind it.

Why Learn?
What do you think is the reason why some people get good jobs, while some compromise. Why some people get more money, while others keep envying. Why some people live in free minds, while some crumble under stress.

Learning is actually the key to our self existence. We live because we learn, we learn because we live. We will surely agree that everything that we count as a parameter for success- confidence, attitude, communication, hard work, determination, positive thinking etc., are actually the by-products of learning, which is truly indispensable.
